Fires, chemical spills, pandemic flu, tornados... Is your organization prepared? This workshop will cover OSHA requirements for emergency plans, and best practices for those issues not covered by OSHA. You'll complete an emergency preparedness assessment of your facility in class and learn about resources to help you implement or update your plan.
Special Workers' Memorial Day Recognition: Every year, on April 28, the nation recognizes Workers' Memorial Day. The South Dakota Safety Council along with the Sioux Falls Area OSHA office will hold a brief recognition at the beginning of this class to honor workers who have lost their lives on the job and raise awareness that fatal injuries and illnesses are preventable.
