Gain both with motorcycle training classes. As the state's designated motorcycle safety training center, we offer courses throughout the state to help motorcyclists prepare for their license tests. We also administer the license test as the final step in our courses. Online registration is easy and secure.
Classes run April through October. Each year the schedule will be posted by mid-March.
Online registration allows you to view a calendar of courses, find class details and register*. You can also search for courses by location, instructor, date and type of course. (NOTE: Search results will list in course ID order, not by date, so be sure to review all results, or narrow the date range.)

Classes are offered by the South Dakota Safety Council through a contract with the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
Out-of-State Motorcycle Endorsement
Please verify with your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to confirm they will accept an out-of-state South Dakota Basic Rider Training (BRT) — Basic 1 completion card for licensure endorsement.
